We woke up this morning to snow, which felt kind of perfect as I wrapped up the second day of photos for my holiday collection before the big launch on Thursday. I always love designing for Christmas and the winter season, but this year felt a little different. I had these big plans of the launch being on a certain day, and had all of these ideas that I thought were great but just couldn't seem to get to work out - I have never had a collection go this way, I've never had an idea that I couldn't see through, I have never missed every . single . deadline that I set for myself. But this time I did. And I was really really frustrated, until the moment I realized that none of that stuff mattered. The ideas that I couldn't get to work the way I wanted are tucked away in a notebook and can be saved for next year. The date I wanted the launch to fall on was 3 days before it actually launches (WHY did this feel like such a big deal at the time?!) and looking at this collection exactly as it is, it feels perfect. It is exactly what it needed to be, these pieces are so special and have so much heart behind them, and I couldn't be more proud.
I'm so so so happy to finally share the "Home For The Holidays" collection with you, at it's core it's inspired by the cozy nostalgic feelings of Christmas as a child - picking out the perfect tree and decorating it with the people you love while Christmas music plays softly in the background. Baking Christmas cookies and gingerbread houses and eating all of the gumdrop buttons in the process. Driving through the neighborhood looking at the twinkling Christmas lights at night with a big cup of cocoa in hand. These were some of my favorite traditions, and the things that I wanted to bring to life in this collection - I hope that these pieces bring a smile to your face and remind you of some of your most magical holiday memories too.
This collection is filled to the brim with goodness, there are festive prints, Punny Pins, ornaments, mugs, cards, wineglasses and even a brand new drink ware option - beer mugs! It's been so hard to keep these pieces a secret, so... let's dive in!
The prints in this collection are some of my absolute favorites that I've ever made. The "Crushed It" Nutcracker was actually the first piece that I dreamed up for this collection back in February. I've been so excited about this concept for so long, and I feel like it sort of perfectly sums up my feelings about this collection ;).
The "I'm Snow In Love With You" print is such a sweet and special print that is perfect for gifting to your special someone this season. It's such a lovely sentiment and I love that this piece can be displayed all winter long.
This print is my absolute favorite part of this collection, "The Greatest Present Is Your Presence" is kind of the foundation that this collection was built upon. As the years go on the things that you remember from the holidays are rarely the things that were wrapped under the tree, but rather the memories made with the people that you love the most. There's no better gift during this magical time of year than to be surrounded by family and friends, and I so so hope that this print becomes a staple part of your holiday decor for years and years to come to remind you of this special sentiment.
The ornaments in this collection give me major heart-eyes. You'll see a few familiar designs like the "Crushed It" nutcracker, "I'm Snow In Love With You" snow globe, and "We Whisk You A Merry Christmas" whisk, but there are two additional designs that are quite different for me - there are no words on them! I love how pretty and timeless they are, paying homage to those cozy nostalgic feelings of Christmas growing up, the Gingerbread House and Christmas Car ornaments just make me so so happy.
There are two new mugs in this collection that perfectly embody the season, I had so much fun working on creative hand-lettering for these pieces that felt festive and fun.
The "Yule Fuel" mug is a perfectly classic Christmas mug. I love the bright red, the fun squared off handle, and the playful lettering on this piece. It's perfect for cuddling up on the couch filled to the brim with cocoa for your favorite Hallmark movies.
The "Making Spirits Bright" mug is pure magic. This metallic gold beauty is shiny and special and I love this design so so much. It's the perfect mug to start every morning this holiday season while the Christmas lights twinkle before the sun comes up.
I have always loved opening up Christmas cards from loved ones near and far during the holiday season. It's so fun seeing what cards my family and friends choose, seeing their family photos tucked lovingly inside and reading the sweet messages from them wishing us peace and happiness during this magical time of year. My Grandma would always hang all of the cards from family in her living room until after Christmas so that we could look at them and read them throughout the season and I've kept that tradition going strong in our own home. It's one of my favorite parts of the holidays.
I wanted to create cards that you could send to your loved ones this holiday season, wherever they may be, so that they too can feel those warm fuzzy feelings knowing that they're on your mind. They're blank on the inside so that you can fill them with your own special messages, fill with family photos, allow your little ones to color a picture inside, or whatever else you choose.
It wouldn't be a Honey and the Hive Collection without Punny Pins and these pins are my FA-VOR-ITE. I loooove the beautiful gold details in these pins, they're just on another level. These adorable pins are perfect to wear on your jackets, hats, bags, or double up and wear them on the collars of your favorite blouses. They're so perfect for stocking stuffers or smaller gifts exchanged between friends.
Even at Christmas time I had to throw in some of the sass that you know and love from Honey and the Hive. The "Get Baked" gingerbread man is the cutest little piece of festive flair packing a hilarious punch. I mean, come on, even your Grandma is going to get a chuckle out of this one.
Finally, we've got a brand new wine glass, and I've even dabbled into a drink ware option that I've never done before... beer mugs!

Oh my goodness. When I set out to make beer mugs, I had no idea that I would love them as much as I do. I could not possibly be happier with how these incredible "Have Yourself A Beery Merry Christmas" mugs turned out. The hand lettering and little hops details were so much fun to create and I love the beautiful gold on glass combo. They're the perfect addition to your bar cart, great for gifting, and I can't wait to see you all sippin' your favorite brews out of these this season.
